Massage School Accreditation Agencies
Accreditation can allow a massage school to extend federal loan and grant eligibility to its students. While accreditation is one factor to consider when evaluating the quality of a massage school, there are many reputable massage schools that are not yet accredited. Some states also require a massage student to graduate from an accredited massage school in order to become licensed. The ability to transfer credits from one massage school to another could also be a consideration.
Several accreditation agencies can accredit massage schools throughout the United States and Canada. Massage schools can voluntarily subject their schools to review by one of these accreditation agencies.
