California Massage License Requirements
Credential:
This state falls under voluntary certification for a therapist (CMT) 500 educational hours or Practitioner (CMP) 250 educational hours.
Required Hours:
Therapist - 500 hrs
Practitioner - 250 hrs
Exam Required:
MBLEx, NCETM or NCBTMB exam is accepted as an alternative to education. In addition, they also perform a background check and do not allow new CMP's after 12/31/2011.
