Trager

You may notice that you are not as spry as you used to be. You may have lost much of your ability to move in a range of motion like when you were young. While many simply accept this, others will give the Trager approach a try. This is a somatic method which was created in 1979 after Dr. Trager spent 50 years developing his approach to achieving better range of motion while helping to reduce a great amount of physical problems which can prevent you from enjoying the kind of life you would like to. The general approach is simple. You will go through a series of movements which will range from passive to active in nature. You will be outfitted in either your underwear of loose clothing while you lay on a padded bench. You will then be guided by the Trager practitioner in a series of movements.

Among the many different ways you will enjoy better health after a Trager Approach session include relief from pain in the neck, back and muscles. This is a great exercise for those with multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, chronic headaches, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease as well as a host of other physical problems you might be suffering from. This is also a good exercise for musicians, dancers and athletes because it offers a light, free feeling as well as a better connection beteween mind and body. Improved range of motion will help you no matter what endeavor you happen to be involved in.
